History

Founded in 2007, the private Al-Kindi school is the first Muslim school group (primary, middle and high school) in France. Open to all, without distinction of faith, its mission is to provide quality and excellent education, in an ethical framework that respects the values ​​of Muslim and civic tradition.

Over the years, the Al-Kindi school group has experienced constant growth and has become a major player in education in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. As a result, over the last ten years it has been ranked first three times in the ranking of establishments in the Rhône.

Yaqoub Ibn Ishâq Al Kindi (801-873) was the first Arab philosopher and is remembered as
“one of the 12 greatest minds of humanity”The choice of Al Kindi serves to remind the younger generations of the example of his life, his values, his work and thus express to them the depth of the heritage which is theirs, and which they are responsible for reviving.

We hope that all our students will follow in his footsteps and, by combining spirituality and science, will be able to become accomplished men and women in turn, guides and models for others.
